Paynantheine is a drug that is used to treat malaria. It is an oxindole derivative and has been shown to have a number of pharmacological effects, including the inhibition of cell proliferation, cancer, and the symptoms of malaria. The drug has also been shown to have interactions with other drugs and can cause adverse effects in patients. Paynantheine binds to specific receptors in the human liver and blocks the metabolism of certain drugs.
