Product Information
- Bistrinbutylstannylacetylene
- Ethyne-1,2-Diylbis(Tributylstannane)
Bis(tributylstannyl)acetylene is a conjugate of ethynyltributyltin and zirconium dichloride. Terminal alkynes are converted to the corresponding acetylenes in the presence of trifluoroacetic acid, chloroformate, or a Grignard reagent. These reaction conditions allow for the synthesis of various acetylenes with different substituents at the terminal carbon atom. Bis(tributylstannyl)acetylene reacts with pyridazine and ethynylation agents to form new compounds that have been characterized by NMR spectroscopy.END>
