Product Information
X-Shining Base Medium is the required media for performing any of the X-Shining AST (Antibiotic Susceptibility Test) assays. The base medium containd all require additives for sucessful testing. The X-shining AST range of products provide an alternative test system to conventional, growth based AST tests with a read-out time of only 30 to 60 min. The test system relies on the monitoring of released ATP in the absence and presence of the antibiotic of interest. ATP release is measured via luminescence signal generated by reaction of ATP with X-Shining™ luciferase and D-luciferin. Featured test antibiotics: Imipenem (EX182069), Cefotaxime (EX182070) and Ampicillin (EX182071).
