Description:

1-Nonadecanol is a compound that has been found to be an effective solvent for the removal of chemicals, such as pesticides and pharmaceuticals, from wastewater. It is also used in the production of acetate extract, which is used in the manufacture of polyester fibers. 1-Nonadecanol can be obtained by hydrolysis of malonic acid with hydrogen peroxide and ammonia. 1-Nonadecanol has shown to have anti-infectious properties against bacteria, viruses, and fungi. It is also able to scavenge anion radicals and inhibit protein data degradation.
